Gary, I'm so glad I found your website and that you are doing so well.  I'm utterly awestruck by your music!  I sent a message to your email telling you about your cassette, Breaking Through the Darkness, that I recently found while digging through a box full of CDs and tapes.  I couldn't stop listening to it!  You had given it to me after I did that horrible artwork for the cover.  Yikes!  The plastic case burned (due to a house fire) but the tape itself is great.  I just thank God that I still have my cassette player!  I am going to order a couple of your newest CD's.  Please let me know how you are doing and when you will be back in Houston for a concert.  Mother and dad would love to see you again as well.

Hugs,

Sherrie

Dear Preston, thank you for being so kind.  Bob and Novalene Ferguson, as well as their two precious daughters, have been dear friends of mine for years.  One of the highest honors to be given a minister is to preach the funeral of a saint of God like Novalene.  The only thing that makes that moment in time even more precious is to have known that saint of God for thirty plus years.  As a minister, it is easy when you know that person is walking the streets of Heaven and has now met her Saviour face to face.  She has met Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul, Araham and the list goes on.  It was an honor to meet Diane's family.  She has been blessed abundantly by God.  Thank you for allowing me the privilege of meeting you and your family.  You are a gift from God to me.

Sincerely yours,

Gary R. Smith

I know that this is Ginger's son so that leads me to think that you may have been able to attend her mother's funeral.  I didn't learn of it until a day later.  Thank you for being a friend to so many of us old First Baptist Tamina folks and for always being there when we need you!

Love in Christ,

Margaret & Jerry
