Visitor Comments: PSK31LX is very nice idea! He light for use on remote QTH, via SSH terminal. On Alix.1d mainboard (base on AMD geode) usage only 10% cpu. Only hotkey based on CTRL colliding with GNU SCRREN. For example CTRL-A is primary screen switch (see on http://www.delorie.com/gnu/docs/screen/screen_8.html) 73! dan |

Visitor Comments: Hi. Nice site.
Good to see a simple easy to navigate site relating to Ham stuff and Linux. However... Your links for needed libraries etc don't seem to help much.
As a 'nix newbie (as many others) we need something a bit more detailed. Is there a direct link to the pre-compiled binaries for each distro', or to somewhere that explains in words of half a sylable or less () how to get working development kits so we can successfully compile stuf for whatever distro we have. For whatever reason, I and may just can't figure out how to successfully compile an app from sources, all Ive managed with Mandrake9 and FreeBSD, is to lock the PC, needing a reinstall. So much seemingly good stuff needs alterations to the Kernel for some reason.
This question for some reason always gets me flamed when I ask it on 'nix forums, not a lot of help.
Anyway, I like the idea of the light weight non-GUI PSK program, that sort of harks back to Peter Martinez's (G3PLX) original TI DSP kit version, that used a simple DOS program as the "Terminal", while the guts of things went on, in the DSP hardware.
Anyway, nice site again. All the best.
Cheers. Dave G0WBX/G8KBV
