| Visitor Comments: A minor correction - the term, "To the mattresses" originates from early Italian warfare, where mattresses were hung out over the castle walls to minimize damage from cannonballs. To "go to the mattresses" means literally prepare for war and retaliation. |

| Visitor Comments: I would like to say thank you for your artical on my Great,Great Grandfather, Giovanni Zarcone. Up until I came across your artical I had only herd family stories, bits and pieces of what happened to Grampa Zarcone. My Grandfather has never even seen a picture of his Grandfather until now. It was very interesting to hear the full story behind the tale. Thank you again for sharing.
Sincerely,
Angela Zarcone
