I "happened upon" your web site recently. Have not searched through it entirely ... but, is quite interesting so far. Currently living near Akron, Ohio, I am from the "Kansas Marleys". My grandfather was Frank Marion Marley, youngest child of John Wesley and Mary Avis Marley, grandson of William Yancey and Poly Breedlove Marley, great-grandson of William Marley, Jr (Randolph County, North Carolina).

I live in Wyoming, Ontario Canada and I was wondering were in the Uk did your ancestors hale from ?
My earliest is John Marley married Maria Burridge in 1828 at Highweek , Devon Witnesses John
Marley and Ann Marley. My father 's family emigrated to Canada in 1905

From all the research I have done, I have not found to be related to anyone from Canada. As for where in the UK my line hale's from, no one knows. Over 500 people have been researching the 4 Marley families of North Carolina and to this date, not one person can find out who the parents of the brothers are or where they came from in the UK. I even have the revolutionary war records for two of the brothers, and it doesn't mention parents are where they were born. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. |
