Visitor Comments: I would like to comment on Deontray Alexander's pieces. I love the fusion of your other interest with your art. Your art has a very creative graphic design feel to it. I really liked one drawing particular of the woman with her mouth open forming a circle. You really captured the essence of a woman. Her face shows a very womanly expression. And her eyes are soft and engaging. I also like your uses of colors and lines. You really have talent and I can definitely see your work being in the form of advertisements and in theentertainment world. Thanks it was a real pleasure. I hope I can get a chance to see your artwork in person.

Visitor Comments: I would like to comment on an art piece of Tracie Bradford. I really like how she used black and white in her art as well as her use of charcoal. She obviously has a keen eye for detail as seen in the piece she drew of a house, which is really quite stunning visually. I also enjoyed her use of shapes, lines, and shadows to create depth. The only downside is that art like hers needs to be viewed in person to see the true talent. I have worked with charcoal in the past and it is a very hard medium to work with, but she appears to have a mastery of it. Thanks Tracie I definitely enjoyed your pieces and keep up the good work.

Visitor Comments: This is a nice piece of a musial ombination that is more of a laid back kind of piece of work that was done in pencil.

Visitor Comments: This portrait by Bennie Wilson of Ja Rule is a very suttle but yet indirect meaning. On one hand Ja Rule can be in what we call the "RECESSION" or the "STRUGGLE" or on the other hand he can just be chilling patiently waiting on the next big thingto happen. But this piece has nice detail and really brings out the seriousness or on the other hand the happiness.

Visitor Comments: Terrell Evans, congratulation on a job well done. Your work of art was very enlightening, I truely enjoyed your piece of work on Mother And Child. It displayeds your talent and skills as an artist. The profile of the woman securely holding her baby captures the true essence of being a mother. The colors of red, green, and blue, exhibit diversity in your painting, is a balance that is very unique. Each detail of the woman was captivating. The technique that displayed the mom's look of disparity as she appears frighten of what was ahead, as she cradled her baby with love, was beyond amazing.

Visitor Comments: Mr. Antoine MItchell what can I say, your work of arts was fascinating. It was breathtaking to see such creativity. Even though all of your work as an artist was enlighten, the one that was most inspiring to me was the profile of a
Black Woman II. Your choice of medium in Black Woman was brilliantly used. The woman was depicted as a strong educated woman with such elegant, grace, poise, strength, and confidence, however she showed some signs of struggle to be where she is today. The highlight of her face expel her overcoming every obstacle to reach her professional goal.

Visitor Comments: Renee Smith was another talented artist I viewed. Her artwork showed a lot of personality. This particular artist shows so much depth. I respect any artist that can excel in more that just one style. Her piece on the lady with hat and somber face makes me assume what she is feeling, because I cant really tell if she is sad or the artist jus created her in a more natural state. I can not speculate any other day or if she is nice on a day other that this. She seems like she has an inner aggression that can not be understood. Looking deeper in the work this woman is beautiful, but her aggression is disguising her beauty. I wish I could question the artist on if this woman is in a bad mood or not.

Visitor Comments: I also enjoyed Exposed by Creshawn Garrett. While viewing the artwork, it was hard for me to figure out if it was a drawing or a painting; dry media or wet media. I was wondering if the actual face of the boy was composed of the white of the paper. If so, I can only imagine how difficult that was to do. I feel like lighting plays a very important role is this piece and it reminds me of a negative picture.I can feel emotion and pain through the boys face without knowing any background history of the piece. Its very clear to me how the boy feels. I believe this is truly a great piece.

Visitor Comments: Creshawn Garrett's work was very inspirational to for PROUD and STRONG BLACK WOMEN. The fact that when I look at her paintings I can see the dozens of women who have been pivotal in the success that I have achieved in my life make me joyful. Looking through her art, It would make the observer really take the time to embrace and appreciate all the women who have helped us personally or that has fought for us to have the rights we have today. It appears that Garrett’s art work is one of the most diverse pieces of art I have seen. Her gallery included pieces of work that displayed dry-medium, wet-medium, and sculpture. Ms. Garrett is very good at showing light and contrast on her art. My favorite piece was the lady and the baby in her shadow. I enjoyed it because I thought it showed that no matter what happened between childhood and adulthood, you will only have one mother and she will always be there to look over you. Congratulations Ms. Garrett!! You are truly an inspiration to your gender and race.
