Visitor Comments: Hello I have just come across your site looking for information on St Michael's church so thank you. I live on Shetland but my GGG and GGGG Grandfathers come from Stone. I am not sure if you know of anyone who could perhaps find information for me or if there are gravestones in the churchyard to photograph?
William CAUDWELL (b.maybe 1785) married Mary (Rowley or/and Lansdale) in about 1806/10. They had children Sarah, James, Hugh, William, HENRY (my GGG b.1818), Edward and Ann.

I know they lived on Newcastle Street and Hoo Mills Lane(?)

Due to distance I am unable to visit Stone in the near future and can only work from the census' information.

Any local information would be fantastic - thank you!

Helen

Bill, Such nice remarks about your web page, I guess by now looking at the guest book etc, you will know that "we" have been wed 62 years. I really wonder just how many of this age bracket are still around. I hope the Warden remains to take care of Stonefield Park, it would be a travesty to have anything happen to it after all these years. Mr. Hunter who always took care of it, his sons who went to school with me, I ask my brother if he knows who lives on Field Terrace still, You can't buy memories like we had during WWII although I am impressed to read about all the activities that are available in Stone . Trust you are well and what colour are the Hydrangeas this year. Keep it up you are doing a wonderful service to the "Keen Agers" as we are referred to over here.

Bill,   I made it!!!!!!!    Now I really can say after looking at this web page of yours that it serves many of us very well. Though we have been gone a long time, we sure do love looking back and seeing what has been and what is now. I would think that some of your local people would be very interested in what the old folks of Stone are doing and what is happening in their area. We are in New Castle Pa, which is about 55 miles north of Pittsburgh, but the interstate is on Route 224, at the top of my street. We can make it in about 35 minutes. Thanks so much for your page, folks spread the word around they are missing plenty of nice pictures and memories.
