Hi Siobhan,     Retiring From Clonmel Credit Union shortly and will attend my last Youth Talent Contest on Sunday week.   Talking recently on all the talanted youths we had on stage down the years including your goodself.   First competition 1977 ?  Have a copy  of your Burt Bach. album magic.   My parting gift - am presenting a Cup to CU for best individual performer on the day.   Hope you and family are keeping well.   Will be thinking of you and others on Sunday week.

Kind Regards,   Tony Brosnan, Clonmel Credit Union.

Hi Tony,

Who'd have thought it would all have started with a talent contest in St Mary's parish hall (I seem to recall?!) by the local Credit Union - who also, by the way financed my first recording - loan duly repaid of course.  I've very fond memories of those talent contests. They were the highlight of my schoolgirl year!

Glad you like my Burt Bach album.  Dying to do another but other things have taken priority for the past few years unfortunately.

May I wish you all the best in your retirement Tony.  I'm sure you'll enjoy it thoroughly!

Take care

Siobhan

Revisiting the sounds of September 2006 and getting a copy for an ipod thingy.

I suppose one of the disadvantages of the digital download is that I have no idea of who the wonderful musicians on the recording are - apart from the bass player of course.

Hope you are both well. Will get in touch soon.

Hi Stephen

Good to hear from you.  We're both very well thank you - well apart from Rod breaking his wrist in France and being out of action for at least 6 weeks!  Trying times!

The rhythm section were:

Piano -  Brian Byrne

Drums  -  Guy Rickarby

Guitar  -  Johnny Scott

Keys  -  Gavin Murphy

Saxes  -  Brendan Doyle, Derek O'Connor

Trumpet  -  Linley Hamilton

Trombone  -  Barry O'Brien

Violin/viola  -  John Fitzpatrick

Cello  -  Scott Herron

Arrangements by Brian Byrne and Gavin Murphy

Hope you like it. Time for another one!  Our wee French project soaks up any spare cash (and not-so-spare).

Many thanks for your support Stephen.

We miss School Choir - at least it was an annual opportunity to catch up!

Taken care

Siobhan

Hi Sheilagh

I am SO sorry!  It used to be that I got all messages on message board straight to my email address but (I think) since changing computers they've all gone to Rod, but not to me.  He assumed I was getting them and I was oblivious to this breakdown in communication!

So my apologies for not responding earlier.  Did you get the CD or would you like me to send you one?

Thank you both so much for such a delicious meal a couple of weeks ago.  I apologise for dragging us all away earlier than I would have liked but I knew Chantal wasn't feeling well and it's awkward when you're dependant on someone else for a lift.

Since we saw you and before we came home, Rod broke his wrist.  Our builder reversed into his hand!  French clinic were brilliant and because we have European health insurance cards, there was minimal financial damage.  Unfortunately it means Rod can't play/earn for 6 weeks.  Oh the joys of being self-employed.

Well enjoy your time there in your wonderful home.  We're very jealous we can't be there just as often but hopefully we'll work it out some day.

All the best to Dave and see you both soon.

Siobhan et Rod

Visitor Comments: Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!!!!! I was at a function tonight in the Masserene Golf Club, Antrim, orgamised by Antrim Borough Council to celebrate 'volunteering'. Nightswing were playing and they are easily the best band I ever heard. The music was catchy, foot-tapping and fun and Siobhan's singing was unbeleiveable. For a small woman, she has a 'BIG' voice! I'll definately go to see them again.

Hi Joe

Due to some communication breakdown I'm only now getting messages posted over the past couple of years!

Glad you like the music.  Would love to come to Holland some day.

Let me know if you need any vocals for your jingles!

Take care

Hi Siobhan

My claim is fame is to know your lovely sister Jacque!  A dear friend of mine is in business with Mart, so I met Jacque in around about sort of way & we just clicked - well you would wouldn't you?!  Jacque entertained my little son and I to a lovely lunch last summer in the barns and serenaded us with Long Ago Tomorrow and Verse & Chorus.  You are now a firm favourite on our car iPOD!  The web site is super.  Keep up the good work.
