| Visitor Comments: I'm looking for Hill and Pinch families. I see the marriage of William Hill and Mary Pinch on Sept. 30, 1833(my ancestors) who moved to Canada. I was looking for parents of William Hill. |

| Visitor Comments: My father, Ernest Hamley, lived in Kelly Park with his parents and siblings. He came up to Manchester in the 1920's because there was no work in Cornwall. I spent many happy holidays in St Mabyn and knew the Masters, and other people who lived there. I was lucky enough to go there last year with my two children. I am 77 |

| Visitor Comments: Congratulations on a great website.
I holidayed in St. Mabyn many times during the sixties and seventies, firstly with my parents and later with my wife to be. We stayed at The Old Rectory which was owned by a Mrs. Creasey. My fiance and I befriended a lovely old gentleman named Sid Pitwood who shared his memories of St. Mabyn and the surrounding area with us as we drove around in the car. We also spent many happy hours in The St. Mabyn Arms in the company of friendly local characters, one of whom, I seem to remember, liked to call himself "Sexy Rexy".
I now live in Asia, and any news or memories relating to the above would be gratefully received. |

| Visitor Comments: What a great website and what a shame that the village is suffering from the dreaded Holiday Homeitis.
I came across your site whilst researching my ancestors. My grandfather James Brokenshaw was born in St Mabyn in 1877 when his father John was a Miller. In 1871 the newly married John was at Littlewood Mill and by 1881, now with 4 children, had moved to Dinhamsbridge. (I asuume they were different places?).
If anyone in the village has any pictures of these places I would be very grateful for a copy.
Many thanks
Mike Brokenshaw |

| Visitor Comments: An old ancestor of mine emigrated back in 1800, from Exeter (Devon) to Portugal. The family has been striving in this country since then.
I came to your site in an attempt to find some old Higgs that might be related to some of my ancestors. And I find quite a few.
Thank you. |

| Visitor Comments: Hello there from Canada. Not a bad little website. Hope to visit there soon. Have been to the Cornwall area before but didn't get to St Mabyn. I am a descendent of William Menhennick Bate and Rebecca George. William was the son of John Bate and Elizabeth Menhennick. William and Rebecca emigrated to Canada in the mid 1860's. He returned to St Mabyn for a visit in 1904 and wrote a long article about his visit. I would be happy to hear from any of their family. |
