Visitor Comments: I have heard about the clinic closing, it is only a temporary closure, but it is also about the whole Branch the rehoming has also stopped as has the welfare services.
This is because the 'old' committee not the new one just spent and spent the money and when the 'new' committee came on board it was too late to do anything. They have had to stop services until they know where they stand financially.

Also the clinic has had to close because their license has not been renewed because the vet there is not following policies etc. She is running it like her 'own' clinic and will not listen to what the RSPCA and the Committee are saying. She is also using the clinic for 'private' work and not paying a penny to the Branch which means they are paying electric etc for her 'private' work. She is self employed I hear and does not recognise that this is a Branch clinic. She makes her own rules and regulations which is wrong. She refuses to allow them to open for longer hours (this would generate more money) She has been allowed by the 'old committee' to do what ever she wants and thinks she owns it. I went with a friend and she was really having a go about the RSPCA and people involved. When my friend asked her about it all she told her that she would not let the clinic close and they had no right to do it. She said they were only thinking off themselves and did not care. If they did not care would they still be around. She also said she would cause them lots of trouble and that's what everyone should do! My friend says that she calls the clinic 'her clinic' and that no one is going to tell her what to do. For goodness sake she is a self employed vet, employed by the Branch, if you want to blame anyone blame her and the stupid old committee that all disapeared when the going got tough.
They should feel lucky that these people are involved at all if was not for them they would not have a Branch at all now and the clinic would be closed completely.
They have always said that it would only be closed on a temp basis yet everyone is going on about it 'closing'. These people should be helping the Branch not moaning about people that are trying to save it.

Visitor Comments: I am shocked and dismayed to read about the imminent closure of the Harold Hill branch which was been on Harold Hill for well over 50 years and serves such an important purpose. I am surprised that money cannot be raised to keep it open, especially as the hours of opening are so limited. Let's hope that something happens before the 2 May. Mrs Campbell who started the RSPA on Harold Hill in the early 50's would turn in her grave to know about this as the present clinic replaced the one which used to be on land in Central Park and her name adorns the present building in Chippenham Road. I hope people read this before the closure takes place.

Visitor Comments: In response to the enquiry about the AGM we have not yet been able to organise the AGM due to changes within the branch. We have a committee meeting within the next 2 weeks and the AGM is on the agenda. If you would supply your name we would be more than happy to send you some information on how the branch is going. On a quick note the rehoming off dogs and cats is going really well and the clinic continues to provide an invaluable service.

Please note though that we are not able to update this website and a new one will hopefully be up and running in the near future.

Visitor Comments: Hi, On behalf of the branch I would like to apologise that the website has not been updated for a long time. This is due to a change in volunteers and ability to change details. We are currently creating a new website that hopefully will be up and running soon. If you are intereste in rehoming a dog or a cat please contact us and we will be more than happy to help. We have many that require good homes.
