| Visitor Comments: Just discovered your site, and want to thank you for all the hard work that you have put into it. I'm a native of St. Bernard, Louisiana, and am of Islenos decent. I've been looking for a picture of the "Contreras Plantation" where P.G.T. Beauregard was born. The steps still remain, and I have a picture of them, and I did have a hand drawn picture of the plantation which I received from the Chalmette Library, but left it when I evacuated for hurricane Katrina. If you or anyone out there comes across a picture, I would appreciate it if you can email it to me at sb70085@yahoo.com with the subject line reading Picture of Contreras Plantation. I don't know if the Chalmette Library opened up or if they have it in archives, as I do not reside in the parish anymore. Thank you. |
