Visitor Comments: I stumbled on this while looking into the Lowry side of the family. So glad I did! I saw pictures of so many of my family members! I'm Leroy (Jack) Smythe's daughter. I haven't seen your grandparents in a good 12 or 14 years, I think.  Please let me know how they're doing!  I was especially close to Richie growing up. I used to sit on his lap and he'd sing to me. I loved him so much and miss him terribly! Is he still alive? My mother has tried to get ahold of him but wasn't able to.  I'm just in shock at seeing all you've done. I'd love to hear from you!

I enjoyed your site and especially the old pictures of Jeff, one of my best buddies growing up.  He'll tell you all about it....


I also have been doing genealogy (see my website).


Coincidence is, I also have Jacob and Sarah Ferris Banta in my database!  They are related by marriage to my wife, whose family is from York Township in Switzerland Co.,


Small world, huh?  I'll update my site with your Wakefield connection and I can get you the Bantas back to Holland if you ever want it.

What a wonderful organized genealogy blog.  Love the Willard D. Wakefield pic.  I belive he is riding a 1946 Cushman Motor Scooter.  They were very cool!  Now that would be a terrific bike to own today.  Keep on riding!

Saw your posting at Rootsweb.  I am looking for info on Rosie May (Hall) Wakefield who was married to Nathan Brown Wakefield who i believe was the son of Mahala Banta and Thomas T. Wakefield.  Her sister was my ggrandmother ( Frances Addie Hall)  she died of TB in 1931 and my grandmother along with 2 of her brothers were sent to an orphanage.  Just thought u may have some info.............Thanks KIM
