| Visitor Comments: Great site. Just stumbled on the Civil War records of 2 ggg uncles, James F Ramey and Robert S. Ramey. They had a sister, Delilah Missouri Ramey who was my gg-grandmother. She died very young. I'm searching for more info on her father and that line of the Ramey family in general. Best of luck to everyone on their research.

Visitor Comments: I am researching my maternal family tree that is deeply rooted in Williamson and Jackson Counties: Skelcher, Boren, Crain, Snider and from there to Ireland via Tennessee and Kentucky. The real curiosity in the family is a genetic trait of the hands and feet. The oral tradition in the family is to refer to the skin on our hands and feet as Snider. Anyone know of heard of anypossible leads of its origins? |

| Visitor Comments: I am looking for information on my maternal grandmother's family. Her name was Jewell Vernell (I believe her maiden name was Smith). She married a Floyd Heck and they lived in Creal Springs. My brothers and I lived there with them when we were very young. |

| Visitor Comments: Excellent site - thank you. I'm researching my SMITH family, including Matthew and his wife Marion (Wallace), who immigrated in 1903 and 1906 respectively. Their daughter Jane Scoular Smith and husband William Watt WALLACE were my grandparents. William Watt Wallace was born in Scotland and died in Johnston City in 1916. His wife, Jane Scoular Wallace died between 1908 (emigration) and 1910 (census), however I have been unable to locate any death/burial record for her. Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

| Visitor Comments: My husband and I live in Petersburg, Illinois, which is north of Springfield. We are planning to drive through Southern Illinois on May 14 to visit the graves of many of my relatives at the Fountain Church Cemetery. There are a few I can't find. My great great grandparents were John Zachariah and Permelia Hudgens. I found that Permelia is buried at Lake Creek Harmony Church Cemetery, but I can't find that cemetery on any map. I can't find a listing for John Zachariah's burial anywhere. His father was William L. Hudgens and his mother was Anna Durham Hudgens. I would appreciate any information you could provide as to the location of Lake Creek Harmony Church Cemetery or the graves of John Zachariah, William L. and Anna Durham Hudgens. Thanks. Great site! |

| Visitor Comments: I am researching my dad's family - William and Mary Karnoski. In 1910, they lived in Clifford, IL I believe that three of their children were born in Clifford or in Herrin. Their children were Mary Karnoski - born in 1910; Barney Karnoski- born in 1911; and Frances Karnoski - born in 1915. William worked in the coal mines. The family moved to Benton, Franklin, IL in 1920. I would appreciate any information about the family while living in Williamson County. |
