Visitor Comments: I wondered what had become of you! Sorry to hear about your hand and that you've quit Downhill and deck building!
Seriously, you gave me the tools to start building. For that alone you deserve more than my thanks, but thanks anyway!
For LOADS of others I know your site and the knowledge you present on it so simply and effectively has also been the gateway to this mad building addiction...
Thanks a million! |

Visitor Comments: Hey! My step-father is a carpenter by trade and builds such things as birdhouses, tables and stuff. He makes much money from the birdhouses and bought a CNC Mechanical router in which he draws the designs on a computer program and the machine cuts them out. He made a board out of this Baltic Birch stuff after seeing your site and it is awesome! I would love to show you the pictures. The thing is, he cut it from a solid piece of wood, he didn't do the two ply wet/dry method and the board has no curvature or bend. Is it advisable to make the boards from a thicker piece of wood and sand the concave into them? Thank you!! -Santiago, from Wilson, North Carolina US |
