Visitor Comments: Thank-you in recording the memories of Indian Veterans.  The Manitoba Veterans are planning on calling all Indian Veterans to Winnipeg Manitoba for a Parade & Military Tattoo in saying "Thank-you" to the people of Canada in 2015.  Firstly, The veterans want too resurrect or introduce "Aboriginal Veterans Day" to all First Nation Governments in honoring Indian Veterans.  We will be calling all First Nation Governments to a Winnipeg Conferance in learning the protocol of Canadian Remembrance Day celebrated on 11th month (November) 11th day and 11 hour.  Whereas, the Aboriginal Veterans Day is celebrated on November 8th @ the 11th Hour, followed by a Pow-wow, feast and entertainment.  It is very exciting in honoring the memory of Indian Veterans.  The Traditional Grand Entry (Parade & Military Tattoo) is the official welcome home to the Indian soldier, denied many years ago.  We want your voice in petitioning Canada and each Province to support this event happening across Canada.  Imagine Indian Veterans marching across Canada. Should you wish to join the Manitoba Memorial March, please do contact the email provided. Again, I thank-you for this web-site.  eckosay

Visitor Comments: I am impressed by the effort to remember these very important soldiers.
Please do not forget the Canadian Rangers who operate in 16 NAN communities across northern Ontario. They are Canada's Army in the North.

Gilbert Farries (GG) was the Patorl Elder in Moose Factory up until his death.

Im Proud to see my late grandfather in his uniform. I admire his bravery and sacrifice he contributed for this country and for all of mankind. He and his fellow comrades fought to make this world a safer place to live, in our great home called Kanata.

He once told me "war is a waste of time".

This is a very charming and informative tribute website and I'm glad to have come across it   I also like the photograph of the McCauley brothers on the front page - it is such a warm hearted picture that says a lot...Cheers and happy new year.
