Visitor Comments: Hi, My name is Serenity. I love to sing and act and I am very good at it. The thing is, I live in Toronto, Ontario in Canada and I don't think there are any auditions for me to go to. So i was wondering if there are any auditions now that I can go to or a way I can find were one is. I have answered this question before. I do not deal with any agents in Canada, but if you Google 'Auditions Canada' there are several good leads.. (A good resume, head shot and Agent will help.!)

Visitor Comments: Hi.. I have a 2 year old little girl who loves the camera and is stunning. I want to get her started but i am unsure what i need to do to stop getting the run around.... I have a six year old son who want to do it 2. when he was 2 we did an audtion for representation and he beat out 250 kids (so they say, but they wanted 250.00 for his head shots and to rep. him) we said we were going to find one on our own but its easy to get run around and I am a pretty young mom and got discouraged. He has done some print work for local things through knowing people ... we live in Arizona and could use any help you could give..... Thanks for your time!!!!! i have learned alot on your page, REPLY.. You did the right thing on not falling for that photo shoot. Legit Agents do not do that! There are a few good agents in Arizona, but the only full service (FS) for all ages, is in Scottsdale.. Check the bottom of our home page for National Listings, and check out Arizona listings. I would wait on the 2 year old, except maybe for print work, which in many cases does not require an agent. If the six year old gets serious, he needs training either by acting classes, some local Theatre, voice coaching. A legit agent will look for talents and experience. The more experience he gets, the better chance to land an agent. There are also agents in Phoenix and Tuscon, but may not be full service. The key is keeping up exposure and training.!

My name is Madisyn, I am 13 years old and acting is my passion. I live in Northern California and I would like to audition for new shows for Disney or Nickelodean but how do I sign up to audition?  You get a good 8 X 10 head shot, with your resume, and get an Agent. (Actually, since you are under 18, your Parents must get you an Agent), have all your experience on your resume, if you want to impress an Agent!  Any schools, training, acting, theatre, skills, etc. An Agent will get the auditions for you. An Agent will not charge you, other than 10% or more in some cases, for work obtained through the Agency. There are many Agents in California, Check out our listings at the bottom of the Home Page.  San Francisco might be your best choice for No. Calif.

I am 15 years pld and i have been wanting to act or dance since i was younger. I need help so I can provide for me and my family and I know I have what it takes. Me and my sister want to become actors as soon as possible, got any ideas for us? Reply: Do you have training and a good resume? You are at an awkward age. Usually, young actors start their training and acting at 5 or 6 years old. The early teen years are tough, since you are almost into the 'Adult' catagory. Since you cannot deal with any Agents yet, you must have your parents do the work for you.  If you have some on stage experience, have them seek an Agent for you. Submit a good head shot and resume.  There is a list of local and National Agents at the bottom of our home page.. http://www.startips.com

Visitor Comments: um im 15 and i want to become more than just a small town nobody i have big dreams that one day will fly and i hope that u guys could help me out. i love to act and im could im always the best in the school plays so im good.but we dont have much money but im really good.and i feel really good about acting.and one day i hope to host the cmt awards and many words but also act in flims. please help with any information  Well, you are at a 'difficult' age, being that you are a bit old to be a child actor, and a bit young to be an adult actor. If you have some experience, get a resume together with a good head shot, and go for an Agent. If your resume is not too impressive yet, I would go for acting lessons, voice coaching, and local Theatre.! A very good place to start. Many actors started in Theatre, and went from small town USA to the big time. There is not only Hollywood, but Broadway, New York, and many other cities, as well as travelling theatre groups that go all over the Country. Very good exposure and experience. As you may know, all contacts and auditions, and decisions must be made by your parents until you reach 18.

Visitor Comments: Has anyone heard of IMTA , my son audiction and they want him to join and fly out to Cal. But the want a $5,200.00 dollars for everything they are going to do . OMG..This is what I keep warning people about..Don't fall for this.!! All you will get out of this is a lower Bank balance.! This is a 'Modeling and Talent 'Agency'....What you want is a legit, Franchised, and FREE Agent!! Spend some of your money on acting lessons, coaching and/or Theatre, and save a bundle.. Then get yourself a local, legit Agent.!!! There is not a ton of money in children's modeling, you can start in it locally. Better to get into Theatre or acting!!

Visitor Comments: Follow up to entry #83- Just to clarify. We first signed with a manager, and I am embarresed to say, HE took headshots and taught classes, that yep I paid him.  He then found us an agent, that didn't find us auditions. But my question is, do I share, in interviews, why we are switching agents? And can I find an agent myself or do I need to find a new manager first?  First of all, get rid of that Manager! A good Manager does not do anything but manage, and get 15% of wages earned. They are not regulated, and most anyone can call themself a 'Manager'. Yes..by all means, find an Agent on your own!!! (And a LEGIT one..No up front fees..Franchised.)  You can be your own children's best manager! A good time to get a manager is when you get so busy, you cannot handle the schedules....Plus you will save 15% of any money earned. Even though I was one myself, I don't recommend it to most young talent, unless they are superior,  with a good track record, no fees, and member in good standing with C.O.P.M., and Breakdown Services. Some can help you find an Agent, but other than L.A. or New York, I wouldn't bother..

Visitor Comments: Hello, Trying to get information how to start in the business of modeling etc, for my two boys. What do you do when you live in a kind of a small town. Located in Central California. Some talent agencies, here but require you taking classes at there business. Any info would help. True, that most good Agencies are in L.A., and San Francisco. How old are the boys? Not a good idea to go with a 'Talent Agency' that just wants a fee for 'training'. This is not a good idea, and can be expensive. (That's not a 'legit' franchised Agency.!)
