Mott is one of the greatest experiences I have every time I go down to visit my Grandpa and grandma because there are so many things to do from golf to hunting.

Visitor Comments: I looked up Mott after coming across a pamphlet written by my great-great aunt (I think) Marie Samuelson that's been handed down in the family. Marie and her first husband, Frank Ehredt, homesteaded about 10 miles southeast of Mott in 1906, but later moved into town and built a hotel, the Wonder Hotel, that they ran for years. Marie's memoir is filled with stories about life in Mott from about 1906 through the 1940's. I noticed one of the posters was related to John Syverud. Marie mentions that he was a good friend of her son, Raymond Samuelson. I'm happy to make a copy and pass it along to someone in Mott if it's of use for local history. kellyhorwitz@mac.com

Visitor Comments: I noticed with joy that someone had inquired about Neva Bohn in your notes. I remember Neva Bohn as an older woman - she lived right next to my grandparents where I was living, too. I remember her as rather a recluse by then, but she had two nieces who would visit her in the summer, and we would play "House" with them in some small buildings out in back of Neva's property. This was in the late "40s. I would like very much to hear from someone who could tell me more about her and some other folks in Mott at that time. My grandparents were Marshall and Ruth Phillips and we lived right on the East edge of the town. Waddells were our neighbors.
