| Visitor Comments: May, 2010 - I am here from Toronto visiting my sister, Shirley. We are going to Ex Coelis Mountain this weekend to see Dad's (G. Murray Williams) Paratroop Battalion Monument to all those brave soldiers from so long ago. Dad is always with us in sprit and will be with us again when we reach the clouds. We'll take some pictures to show Mum (Phyllis) when we see her. Please, do not hesitate to write me if you have anything you wish to share about Dad, etc. Thank you to all of you who served. We will never forget. Valerie Magi (nee Williams) |

| Visitor Comments: The only affiliation I have had with any Airborne personelle was back when I was an army cadet in the mid 80's. The Airborne member's oversaw us in our 6 week WLC Wilderness leadership Course at CFB Petewawa. I am now 40 years old and play an active part in re-enacting the events of D-day using the means of paintball. I belong to a group of approximately 60 Canadians that travel down to Oklahoma U.S.A. to attend this world renowned event. With participants from more then (20) countries being involved. 2009's total of more than 4000 players, was probably as close to the real thing as you could get without the fear of not returning home. Being on the battlefield with over 4000 other people is invigorating to say the least.
I'm slowly getting to my point. I know! Not only am I a proud Canadian, I am also very honored and proud to be playing the part of a Sargeant in the 1st Canadian Airborne Paratrooper Battalion. Able COY Sergeant.
Thanks. |

Visitor Comments: I was three when my brother R. C. Hall died in France. In my father's diaries he said that I was raised to be like my brother. My wife and I visited Ranville cemetery a few years ago. On Bob's headstone it reads, "He said,'The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want." He told my mother that he would not be returning. In his things are several copies of the poem, "The Crossing of the Bar". In a dream a while before Bob's death my father saw him "get it". After the war a number of Bob's comrades visited our home with praise for Bob's life and character. |
