| Visitor Comments: Adorable site. He is a doll that's for sure. I just found his baseball card he signed and gave me back in 1994, he was with the Bellingham Mariners back then. We met at a party (in Dowagiac, MI) from a mutual friend and we didn't leave our site for the rest of the night, he was a fabulous guy. When I found this piece of the past I, out of curiosity, thought I'd get online and see if he ever made it big. I had no idea he was still going strong. It's weird to find people later after they were a brief part of your past one night of your life in college. I'm sure he's married now, and I will say, his wife is one lucky girl. Sounds like he's a kind and considerate man these days. Glad to see so many people admiring him for baseball, and himself as a person. Keep up the site, it's great to see what he's doing now. Matt, I'd love to hear from you if you glance at the sites your fans have so kindly created. If I talk to those guys, maybe they've been in touch and I'll get your email and say congrats-Good luck with the relief position with the Red Sox.

) Im looking forward to his contributions to the end of the bullpen in the 7th or 8th innings. He will be a viable replacement to a man like Scott Williamson, who still could be coming back. Its shaping up to possibly be the best bullpen in baseball. Scott Williamson, allan Embre Matt Mantei and Keith Foulke. Can you say... 5 inning games? The only problem here is that everyone mentioned (with the exception of Foulke) is injury prone.... I guess we will see what happens.
OMG!! I am uh-fah-REEK-ing OUUTT! When I lay down at night, and dream about Matt Mantei....only 2 words come to my mind.....DESIGNATED LIST!!!! 
Do you realize the agony that he has put myself and so many other real baseball fans through this year. First of all his ERA for the 5 games he pitched in this year is about 31.56 and don't even getting me going on his WHIP. I wanna see some pictures of this guy in re-hab working hard to come back and contribute to the worst team in baseball this year. Not posing with the ladies and drinking beers.....but I guess that's just my opinion....
