| Visitor Comments: My grandfather, WO Rupert Hague (torpedo gunner) served on Blenheim towards the end of the war. He joined the Navy in 1912 and trained for the submarine service in 1917/18. He served on various boats between the wars and at the start of the second world war before being transferred to depot ships. I still have the ships figure head from HMS Cyclops which was presented to him. |

| Visitor Comments: Hi. Great web site. Both my father, Alan Denison and his twin brother Jack served as Leading Stokers aboard HMS Blenhiem. Like your father they recieved their Russian medals and were members of the North Russia club for sailors who served on the North Atlantic convoys. They had many stories to tell of their lives at sea and while based in both Iceland and the Mediterranean. Both are unfortunately no longer with us.
Regards, Keith Denison. |
